Mizu Designs is the work of Australian printmaker and illustrator, Kylie Budge.
Kylie studied woodblock printing in Kyoto, Japan, her much loved home for seven years. Her design name, Mizu, means water in Japanese. Water signifies life and watercolour inks feature strongly in the traditional Japanese process of printmaking. Along with woodblock prints, she also creates drypoint etchings and hand printed textiles.
Much of her design inspiration comes from Japan and all things wild and natural including indigenous Australian plant life.
